Webinar Description

Research suggests that school reform efforts in the last 30 years have failed to improve student achievement, because they failed to adequately address the importance of the culture and climate of schools. This webinar will help you to consider the distinction between climate and culture, why this is important, what fosters a positive school atmosphere and the impact outcomes of this. The session will allow for reflection and provide you with “take-away” tools and ideas to try out and share with colleagues in your school. These will help you to reflect on your school’s current climate and culture and consider where you might begin to make positive changes, to create an environment which enables students and staff to thrive.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the difference between organisational climate and culture
  • Explore the impact a positive school culture can have on staff motivation, student success and achievement
  • Be able to consider ways to influence and change the climate and culture within your own organisation
