About Debbie Innes-Turnill
Debbie Innes-Turnill (MSc) has been a Teacher/School Leader for nearly 30 years. Her educational background, a degree (her second) in Psychology (BSc.) & a Safeguarding specialisation have enabled Debbie to develop expertise in supporting and protecting the vulnerable and their families.
In 2018, Debbie launched her own freelance Safeguarding Consultancy, which, complemented by her school experiences, advises organisations, charities & social groups about safeguarding for both adults and children.
Debbie completed her Masters in ‘Advanced Child Protection Studies’ (University of Birmingham) in 2020 with a distinction. She currently works part-time lecturing on the degree, enabling her to stay current with safeguarding research. She is currently studying for a PhD in defining safeguarding culture in education.
