Creating a Whole-School Framework for Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health – Building a confident team to lead wellbeing across the school
This programme will enable you to put in place an effective, supportive wellbeing and mental health agenda across all key stages in your school. During this training you will gain the skills, knowledge and understanding of why, what and how mental and emotional health is crucial for all staff, pupils and parents to be actively supporting each other. It is based on the latest evidence of what works when it comes to improving the mental health of children and young people in schools.
During the sessions, you will learn about the systems and procedures that a school or establishment should have in place to support bereavement, loss and grief. These will include suggested protocols, policy and practice with the correct steps of action that need to be implemented when bereavement and loss occurs. You will gain strategies, techniques and methods of support to address the impact of bereavement, loss and grief in order to balance emotional health and wellbeing.Session 1 with Crista Hazell – Managing Grief and Bereavement and Supporting the Whole School community.Session 2 with Nina Jackson – The impact of Bereavement, Loss & Grief on wellbeing and the strategies you can employ to support individuals.
