This essential online course supports international school staff in recognising and responding appropriately to sexualised behaviour in children and young people. Led by experienced safeguarding consultant Debbie, the session explores the difference between age-appropriate exploration and behaviour that may indicate deeper concerns.
The training will cover potential causes—including trauma, exposure to inappropriate content, and unmet emotional needs—and help staff develop a confident and sensitive approach when dealing with these behaviours. With the unique safeguarding landscape of international schools in mind, Debbie will also address cultural considerations, reporting frameworks, and how to build a shared understanding across diverse school communities.
This session includes case studies, reflection activities, and time for discussion and questions. Participants will leave with a stronger understanding of what to look for, how to respond, and how to support both students and colleagues in a safeguarding context.
