Short Description

About Sharon Hennam-Dale

Sharon is a highly experienced and enthusiastic practitioner with excellent skills and understanding of teaching, learning and leadership strategies, pedagogy, and research. She has spent over twenty-four years in education, including thirteen in senior leadership, starting her career as a teacher and progressing to Headship. She has worked in various schools in different contexts and with colleagues from different stages and phases of education. She is passionate about the professional development of colleagues to build school capacity and sustainable leadership, leading to improved outcomes for learners. Sharon is highly committed to the value of collaboration in enhancing organisational effectiveness and has been a school governor for six years. Since leaving Headship, Sharon has worked as an educational consultant, leadership facilitator and coach. She has extensive experience authoring training and designing national training programmes for middle, senior and executive leaders. She is a highly skilled facilitator in delivering quality learning experiences for a wide range of staff in leadership and professional skills development. Sharon has a secure grasp of current educational contexts and issues. She has significant experience working in quality assurance and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of improvement and the principles for judging the quality of standards of schools. She is a national moderator and accredited assessor for the UK National Professional Qualifications for Leadership. As an International Trainer, she has led training for teachers and senior leaders in Africa, Malaysia, Oman, the United States and Pakistan.

About Julia Batters

A recently retired secondary school headteacher with a long career in a British international school, Julia is an experienced educator focused on developing excellence in learning and teaching through highly effective leadership and management. Julia spent most of her career at the British School of Paris. After teaching in Wiltshire and London, she joined the school as Head of Languages in September 1991. Promoted to Deputy Head-Academic in 2000 and then to Head of Senior School in 2013, she has accrued more than 20 years of experience delivering the British curriculum to an international student body. Following a degree in European Studies at the University of Bath, Julia stayed at Bath to complete a PGCE and later complete a PhD. A firm believer in the practical application of academic research, Julia is experienced in leading school initiatives rooted in evidence-based findings. She has recently begun to contribute to continuing professional development for aspiring international senior leaders.
