7 – 9 Week Courses

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Courses

Our courses generally run for about 9 weeks, with the primary goal of enhancing the ‘C’ in continuing professional development. Throughout each course, you’ll complete six online modules, taking approximately 60 minutes per week, accompanied by relevant reading materials.

Designed to complement your classroom practice, the courses encourage practitioner reflection, offer practical tips for implementation, and provide opportunities to engage with other teachers in the programme.

The course begins with pre-introduction webinars, offering comprehensive insights into the journey ahead. An online mentor will support you. We also recommend having a school-based mentor or coach you can meet every two to three weeks.

Additionally, you will receive weekly emails from your course mentor, who will explore key aspects of the models you’re studying that week, offering additional support and assistance.

Advancing Teachers’ Programme — Helping Teachers To Thrive

Course Description

Delivered over 9 weeks, the course includes a range of self-directed modules and online events that enable new practitioners to engage with other colleagues while being guided by a course facilitator.

The course is based on the most up-to-date information and research pedagogies and delivered by some truly wonderful teachers, experienced professional development trainers and educational authors.

Throughout the course participants will be expected to put their learning into practice by participating in stimulating discussions with the rest of the cohort to demonstrate their understanding of key pedagogical practices and theories.

The course tutor will provide individual and group feedback and it’s recommended participants also receive in-school support from a Mentor, Coach or Head of Department.
