About Paul Sturtivant

Teacher and Education Consultant

As a lifelong learner and passionate advocate for educational equality, I bring over 15 years of teaching experience to the table, including senior leadership roles. I have a successful track record of delivering high performance in student outcomes, curriculum design, and leadership, using an energetic, thoughtful, and evidence-led approach. My goal is to positively impact as many students as possible through values-led change management and better use of implementation science. Above all else, I believe there is a better, kinder way of leading educational change. I have experience delivering CPD in leadership, curriculum design, and rapport-based behaviour management and run student workshops to develop oracy, self-regulated learning, and metacognition. I have worked with schools to design their geography curriculum and study skills programmes and have a NPQSL and am a Level 4 qualified coach, working with early-career teachers, senior leaders and principals. I have also taught and trained teachers in South Korea, China, Nepal, and South Africa.

  • 15 years teaching in British schools, including senior leadership.
  • Experience delivering CPD on leadership, curriculum design, and rapport-based behaviour management.
  • Designed innovative student workshops and interventions to develop oracy, self-regulated learning and metacognition. I also run study-skills sessions.
  • Expert and experienced in curriculum design and leading positive change.
  • National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) qualified and Level 4 qualified coach. Currently coaching early-career teachers, senior leaders and principals.
  • Experienced in teacher training in South Korea, China, Nepal and South Africa.
