What you’ll learnOur established trainer Ms Lisa Ashes will be delivering training specifically designed to help those in multi-lingual schools to plan, create and deliver mainstream subject-specific lessons that meet the needs of different EAL learners. On this course, you will learn how to:
- Identify and profile EAL learners and their language learning needs in different contexts.
- Create a framework for assessing and tracking over time their proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing English.
- Make best use of the full cultural and linguistic resources of your school from an EAL perspective.
About LisaLisa is a highly experienced teaching and learning consultant who is passionate about using her expertise to develop effective coaching programmes for schools. A published author, in her latest book ‘Manglish’, she considers how English and Maths can be creatively brought together to improve both literacy and numeracy throughout the whole school.
