About Karen Bell

Accredited Safeguarding Consultant

With 20 years’ experience in education at all levels including Senior leadership with schools in variety of contexts, I have supported schools out of special measures and have more recently been a key leader in a school with an outstanding Ofsted inspection in all areas including post 16. I would now feel confident in working with any school in preparing for an upcoming Ofsted inspection. I have written and have had accredited a full suite of Safeguarding workshops and I feel that this area is key to protecting our young people in an ever-changing society. I worked initially as a teacher of maths and have since progressed into Leadership roles that have been focused on inclusion and developing other Leaders. I have developed my personal knowledge and expertise in both of these areas and have worked in two schools leading on inclusion in a Senior Leadership capacity, achieving SLE status for my specialism in this area. I have worked both in this country and abroad supporting developmental projects around inclusion and assessment.
