Phonics is one of the main methods used for teaching children how to read. As a teacher, it is important that you refresh your knowledge on phonics to ensure you are teaching reading the most effective way. Phonics is also needed to be a good speller therefore knowledge of the alphabetic code is crucial. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the basics of phonics and a range of strategies that can be used directly in the classroom.

Ella is able to cover all policy-related aspects that are appropriate and relevant, however, her focus is always on delivering practical support that will help professionals safeguard children and families and achieve the most positive outcomes for all. Ella is a qualified person-centred and gestalt counsellor and supports organisations in providing emotional health and wellbeing support to staff through training and supervision. Ella was the Director of Safeguarding for a large Multi Academy Trust and now works as a safeguarding trainer and consultant.
